Scottish Whisky Quaich made from Burr Elm
The quaich is a Scottish drinking cup dating from the 16th century and traditionally used to share a dram of whisky as a welcome or farewell to guests. These days it is recognized as a symbol of friendship, admiration and respect.
Our quaich is drink safe so you are free to enjoy a dram in the traditional way. This quaich measures 15cm diameter and is approximately 5.5cm high. It is individually turned on the lathe in our workshop and makes an extra special and very Scottish gift. It comes wrapped in tissue paper inside a gift box as shown with some information about the history of the quaich. As each item is made to order it may differ slightly from photos shown.
Burr elm is shown in the photos without the box.
